LOCATING PIN
SET UP INFORMATION Preparing the Locating Pin and Stop Block
For AIR POWER SPINDLE, HIGH SPINDLE & Hi-JET HOLDER. The AIR POWER SPINDLE, HIGH SPINDLE and Hi-JET HOLDER utilize a Locating Pin that engages with the Stop Block, which is mounted to the machine spindle. Please refer to the following instructions to select/adjust the Locating Pin, and to prepare it for the Stop Block. STANDARD SETUP OF THE LOCATING PIN “S” Dimension The distance from the centerline of the holder to the centerline of the Locating Pin. Please note that this dimension is not adjustable by the user. Fixed Length “A” The axial distance from the gage line of the spindle to the bottom of the groove on the Stop Block. This dimension is adjustable by the user. Three (3) Locating Pin models are available: LP-A, LP-B, and LP-C. Each Locating Pin is adjustable to provide a different range of Fixed Length “A”, as shown in the tables below. Please specify the required Fixed Length “A” when ordering. Otherwise, it will be delivered set at the standard, .236.
